Build quality
-
Canadian-manufactured Larrivees are praised for their high quality, with older models being particularly valued.

Recent D-03 models are noticeably lighter, possibly due to changes in wood density or construction techniques, resulting in more responsiveness but potentially increased fragility.

Source -
Taylor guitars provide an airy tone, suitable for modern folk/pop but may lack depth for styles like early Neil Young.

20 years and I'm still impressed
I bought this from the Chicago School of Folk Music in 2005 and it hasn't been eclipsed by any other guitars I've tried. Sounds great and has aged well. I especially love it with Monel strings.
Preferred Settings + Usage:
Love the sounds when using Martin Monel strings.
