Description
Elevate your guitar's sonic potential with the Lollar High Wind Imperial Humbucker Pickup. This pickup is not just an accessory; it's a bridge to the classic, sought-after tones of the 1950s, reimagined for the modern player. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the High Wind Imperial delivers a rich, full-bodied sound that pushes your amp with effortless grace. It's particularly well-suited for thinner-bodied guitars, like the iconic Gibson® SG, ensuring every note resonates with clarity and depth.
The secret to its captivating performance lies in its enhanced output and improved frequency balance that sets it apart from standard pickups. You'll discover a beautifully balanced mid-range, a taut bass, and complex harmonics that capture the essence of vintage PAF pickups, but with a modern twist. The Alnico 5 magnet provides a dynamic edge, giving you the versatility to explore a wide spectrum of tones—from smooth and mellow to bold and powerful.
Hand-wound in the USA, the High Wind Imperial is designed for musicians who demand precision and authenticity in their sound. With its four-wire connections, it offers flexible wiring options, allowing you to customize your setup with ease. Whether you're chasing the classic rock tones of yesteryear or crafting your own unique sound, the Lollar High Wind Imperial Humbucker Pickup is your ticket to tonal nirvana.

Nash Jaguars Dustin Kensrue: “They’re exactly the same. I put Lollar humbuckers in: the High Wind Imperial humbucker in the bridge and the El Rayo in the neck – that’s their own creation, and it sounds a bit like a mix between a humbucker and a single coil.
I feel like those pickups balance pretty well, tonally and output-wise. And all the other electronics are ripped out; it’s just got a Tele-style three-way switch on it. The Jags are tuned D to D or drop C.”
At 4:28, he mentions that both his Les Paul Traditional has this pickup installed.
"Lollar's High Wind Imperials give my Bacchus the voice that inspires my creativity."
