Critic Reviews

Malekko Heavy Industry - Manther Growl - Waveform Magazine

waveformmagazine.com

The Malekko Manther Growl is a powerhouse module that delivers on its promise of growly, aggressive sounds with its CEM3340 chip and versatile modulation options. Its compact design cleverly incorporates a plethora of features, including simultaneous waveform outputs and a waveshaper, without feeling cluttered. The intuitive layout and tactile controls enhance the user experience, though the placement of jacks could be improved. While its LED sliders and LFO lack some desired functionality, the Growl's rich sound and flexibility make it a standout choice for Eurorack enthusiasts seeking a self-contained, expressive voice module.

Very impressive monosynth

Love this machine. It can do completely obliterating noise all the way to acid-house. I use it primarily for the former, but it also can sparkle in it's higher frequencies. The sequencer is immensely deep, and can get quite complex. I've really only scratched the surface with creating patterns. I hope Malekko keeps putting out new updates as time goes on.
