Review: Mistweaver Effects Forestry & The Serpent

guitar.com

Mistweaver Effects' The Serpent delivers a chaotic fuzz experience that echoes the classic Big Muff, yet its lack of labeled controls can frustrate users unfamiliar with its operation. While it excels in creating thick, expressive tones ideal for stoner rock and power chords, it might overwhelm in more nuanced settings. The pedal's impressive versatility is overshadowed by its somewhat amateurish aesthetics and the learning curve associated with its controls. Overall, it’s a solid choice for fuzz enthusiasts, but potential buyers should be prepared for a bit of a trial-and-error process.

one of the best fuzzes i've ever used

this fuzz was made inspired by the russian big muff pi, and that's a powerful fuzz by itself. this, however, is much more than that. you can get really full, fat tones with this fuzz, and you can also get a slight, warm boost with it too. this pedal is really so useful in so many different contexts, it's a go-to for me
