Review & Video: Pioneer DDJ-ERGO-V DJ Controller - Digital DJ Tips

digitaldjtips.com

The Pioneer DDJ-ERGO-V DJ Controller impresses with its consumer-friendly design and solid build, offering a familiar Pioneer feel with its jogwheels and layout. It pairs well with Virtual DJ LE, providing a competent entry-level DJ experience. However, its flashy jogwheel lights might be a distraction, and the limited effects in the bundled software are a downside. While it’s fun and easy to use, the controller is pricier compared to competitors like the Traktor Kontrol S2 and Numark Mixtrack Pro, raising questions about its value for money. Overall, it's a capable but somewhat overpriced option in a crowded market.

Pioneer DDJ-ERGO-V review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

The Pioneer DDJ-ERGO-V impresses with its stylish design, USB power, and innovative visual feedback on jog wheels, making it a promising choice for Virtual DJ users. However, its small, poorly constructed buttons and lack of compatibility with other software, such as Traktor, diminish its appeal. The controller's high price point for the build quality and bundled software further holds it back. While it offers some features like an auxiliary input, it struggles to compete with similarly priced alternatives like the S2. Overall, the DDJ-ERGO-V is a mixed bag, offering unique features overshadowed by notable drawbacks.

Great console even in 2023

I have been using the Pioneer DDJ Ergo console for some time now and I have to say that this is one of the most intuitive and user-friendly DJ consoles in my opinion. It has a great layout that is easy to navigate, allowing you to quickly access the features. The sound quality is excellent and it is capable of producing some great mixes. I also love the portability as it is lightweight and can be taken with you to the club. The controls are highly responsive, allowing you to quickly adjust the parameters of your mix.

Intermediate-Advanced DJ Controller

It's considered a beginner controller, however it packs lots of features that I would consider it an intermediate to advanced DJ controller as well. It's possible to control 4 decks with this controller, the jog wheels are kinda small however scratching with this is definitely possible, etc. It's also well built, there is also two feet built in the back of the unit which allows it to sit at an angle with a computer being able to be tucked away below it. It keeps the user away from the keyboard and more on the controller, it's also light and portable which makes it easy to lug around. Another nice feature is the headphone ports which accepts the usual 1/4" but also a 3.5mm, which is a nice feature as 1/4" adapters is an easy thing to lose (DJs, you'll know what I'm talking about).

E

its usefull for beginner to make mashup or cover
