Description
Designed for those who demand the precision and power of progressive metal, the PRS Mark Holcomb LE solid body electric guitar delivers a compelling blend of playability and tonal richness. Born from the collaboration between PRS and Mark Holcomb of the band Periphery, this instrument is tailored to meet the unique demands of his intricate playing style. The 20" fretboard radius combined with a sleek ebony fingerboard ensures a fluid playing experience, ideal for rapid note runs and deep bends. The 25.5" scale-length maple neck contributes to the clarity and punch required for modern metal tones.
At the heart of this guitar lies a pair of Mark Holcomb's signature Seymour Duncan pickups, the Alpha and Omega, which are engineered to maintain clarity even under high-gain conditions. The Omega bridge pickup delivers a focused and aggressive tone, while the Alpha neck pickup offers a fat, glassy sound with plenty of articulation. A push-pull tone knob further expands your tonal palette by unlocking single-coil-like tones, allowing for even more versatility.
Every detail of the PRS Mark Holcomb LE is crafted to inspire technical players, from its fixed bridge, which provides solid tuning stability, to its robust mahogany body topped with a stunning quilt maple. Whether you're shredding through complex riffs or weaving atmospheric soundscapes, this guitar is your ultimate companion.

Great guitar with a little modification
This guitar comes set up in CGCFAD and the fretboard is phenomenal for this drop C tuning. It's only flaw is that it doesn't hold a tune well out of the box. I upgraded to some Gotoh locking tuners and a Black Tusq nut and it holds a tune much better now. The guitar is quite heavy so it's a bit backbreaking for me personally during long sessions, but the pickups, sound quality, neck feel are all stellar.

On the official page for Mark's signature PRS, Mark says "As someone who’s been obsessed with PRS since my youth, it has been an absolute dream to be able to develop my own PRS signature guitar. For nearly the past year, we’ve designed this instrument with the intention of making it not only unique, but something that would satisfy my every taste as a guitarist, from both a technical and aesthetic standpoint. The result is something that truly stands on its own in the PRS lineup, and a guitar that I can undoubtedly say is the best instrument I’ve ever laid my hands on."
