Personal

Great for singing. Catches all/any dynamics. Do not cup the mic. Run this through a noise gate, 80hz+ low cut & slight compression to sound brilliant. fun fact: Hayley Williams of Paramour used this a lot during the RIOT days. This is the mic she had wrapped up in orange tape & toured with.

Awesome microphone

Highly regarded microphone and I was looking for something to supplement my AKG D5 for others to sing with. After a great deal of research I purchased this at the Guitar Center in Raleigh.

"I really like Sennheiser vocal mics and because I’ve worked with them for so long within a couple of seconds I can hear what I need to do with EQ. Some voices just don’t work with certain mics but Sennheiser as a whole has a lot wider range - they sound great with a male or female vocal," says Alt-J's sound engineer, about the e 935 microphones used for Joe Newman's vocals, in this article.
