Good pickups but the mid-range on the JB is kinda honky and congested.
They are the stock pickups on my Jackson USA Select Soloist guitar. They sound good, can't go wrong with the 59/JB combination. The '59 pickup in the neck sounds smooth and warm, but, I'm not fond of the JB. It has a really honky and congested mid-range response. So I plan to replace the JB with the '59/Custom Hybrid.
