Welcome back to ProGuitarShop.com and ToneReport.com, today we're blasting off with the Apollo II, by Solidgoldfx. The Apollo II is a full-featured 4-stage phase shifter with an abundance of options for space cadets everywhere. A three-way Mode switch lets users select one of three rhythmic patterns across two time signatures. Within these three modes, the Wave knob selects one of 11 different waves, from standard sine, triangle and saw to combinations of each and even some step filtering. The 11th waveform is a manual control for some great phaser-wah type tones when an expression pedal is used. Solidgold's proprietary tap tempo processor keeps the Apollo in time, and it works in tandem with the 1-2-4 switch that acts as a tap multiplier. The Apollo also pairs exceptionally well with any dirt box you can throw at it, and it gobbles up gain like no other modulator. Each Apollo II is hand-made with primo components in Montreal, Canada.
