Very nice and round sounding.
Starting to dig deeply into this machine. I love the simplicity of only having 4 real tracks to record. Even that you can play with the tracking and get simultaneous instruments into one single tracks. So theoretically you can record multiple instruments using several record passes. Only 4 at the same time. It includes channels 5 and 6 and 7/8 which are useful to record extra instruments and/or use them as return buses.

In a screenshot from a YouTube Shorts clip featuring Elijah Hewson and Josh Jenkinson recording "A Question of You," a TASCAM Portastudio 424 MKIII is visible atop a flight case labeled "John Henry's Backline." This suggests that the console may have been hired for the session. It is highly likely that Hewson used the TASCAM for his guitar sounds, as he later replicated the console preamp distortion sounds from "Open Wide" using a Hudson Broadcast Dual after the band's tour for the album, indicating the equipment's use by Hewson on the track.
Bill Doss, along with other members of the Elephant 6 collective, uses the TASCAM Portastudio 424 MKIII for recording purposes, as evidenced by the source image on imgbb.com.
Will Cullen Hart, along with many members of the Elephant 6 collective, uses the TASCAM Portastudio 424 MKIII for recording. This is evident from a user-uploaded photo of his studio.
