Description

Unleash the fiery spirit of your guitar with the Tone City Wild Fire Distortion pedal. Crafted for those who crave an intense, high-gain experience, this little powerhouse draws inspiration from a legendary purple distortion pedal, offering a rich, tube-like sound that mimics a 100-watt amp. Whether you're chasing the raw, explosive tones of a hot-rodded British Plexi or the meaty distortion of a US-voiced amp, the Wild Fire has got you covered.

The pedal is designed with dual clipping modes, allowing you to effortlessly switch between British and American distortion styles with a simple toggle. Its intuitive controls—Volume, Tone, and Gain—make fine-tuning your sound a breeze, while the transparent gain control illuminates with a status LED, ensuring you know when the pedal is engaged. Built for the road, the metal housing offers durability, and its compact size easily fits any pedalboard.

A true bypass footswitch ensures your original tone remains uncolored when the pedal is off. The Wild Fire Distortion operates via a 9V DC power supply, maintaining efficient power consumption at just 10 mA. With its robust output level, this pedal is ready to saturate your amp's front end, delivering a visceral and touch-responsive performance every time you plug in.

Bang for your buck

My first pedal, and a really good one for the price. Metal housing, simple design, loads of tones and volume. It's still on my pedalboard even after three years of playing, working as my heavy distortion for Black Sabbath types of riffs. Not the most dynamic pedal, but what do you expect for the price. Not too good on low gain settings, I would just set this at 1 o'clock and rip.

Amazing Pedal for the Price

For $50, this is by far the best distortion pedal you're going to get. It sounds great and can do everything from classic rock sounds to prog rock, so it's amazingly versatile. The only downsides for me are that 1. it has a noticeable amount of background noise (even using isolated power) and 2. you can hear handling noise (i.e. you can hear through the amp when the button is being pushed down.
