In this, "The Midnight Special" YouTube video, Boz Scaggs plays a Yamaha SG-510 at the 3:40 mark, he plays the solo. The video indicates December 30, 1977 as an archive date. Getty images also documents Boz Scaggs & his Yamaha SG-510. Boz Scaggs has played his entire collection using various Brands & Models of guitars. As any of the photos are difficult to discern the exact Yamaha model, I was able to enhance the photo using open source GIMP software to determine the truss rod cover indicates "SG 510" as well as match the headstock inlays for Yamaha's name & design.
