Description

Revamp your sound with the Yamaha Revstar RSE20 Electric Guitar. This modern marvel combines sleek aesthetics with a powerful sonic punch, perfect for any guitarist seeking versatility and style. Built with a chambered mahogany body, the RSE20 is lightweight yet resonant, thanks to Yamaha’s proprietary Acoustic Design process. This innovative construction enhances sustain and balances the guitar, making it an excellent choice for musicians who crave both comfort and quality.

At the heart of the RSE20 are its dual Alnico V humbucking pickups, which deliver a robust tonal range from vintage cleans to high-gain leads. Whether you're crafting smooth, rounded lows or searching for that sweet, vocal-like high, these pickups won’t disappoint. The guitar’s standout feature is the push/pull Dry Switch high-pass filter. This clever addition tightens up your low end and boosts your highs, providing the clarity and definition you need without compromising on volume or introducing unwanted hum.

The Revstar RSE20's double-cutaway design and sleek lines not only evoke the cool, utilitarian style of vintage Café racer motorcycles but also ensure easy access to the upper frets. With its rock-solid playability and explosive tones, the RSE20 is a high-performance instrument that will inspire creativity and elevate your music.

Key Features:

  • Chambered mahogany body for reduced weight and increased resonance
  • Mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard
  • Dual Alnico V humbucking pickups for versatile tones

Yamaha Revstar RSE20, RSS20, RSS02T and RSP02T review | Guitar World

guitarworld.com

Yamaha's Revstar RSE20 strikes a balance between unique design and solid performance, featuring a resonant chambered mahogany body and comfortable playability. The guitar's standout features include the Dry Switch for tonal versatility and a well-constructed graphite-reinforced neck. However, while it shines at its price point, the off-spec pickups can detract from its potential, leading to some inconsistency in sound quality. The RSE20 still feels lively and responsive, reminiscent of higher-end models, but may not satisfy everyone’s tonal expectations. Overall, it's a solid choice for modding enthusiasts looking for a versatile electric guitar.

REVIEW: Yamaha Revstar Element RSE20 - Fret Zealot

fretzealot.com

Yamaha's Revstar Element RSE20 strikes a harmonious chord with its impressive craftsmanship and unique aesthetic. Praised for its comfortable playability, contoured body, and attractive matte neck finish, this entry-level guitar offers a delightful experience for players. The vintage motorcycle-inspired design and vibrant color options stand out, making it visually striking. However, the review doesn't shy away from mentioning that while the humbuckers deliver a classic sound, they may not offer the versatility some musicians desire. Overall, the RSE20 is a solid choice for those seeking quality and style at an accessible price, despite its minor limitations.

sub £400 guitar, fretwork is immaculate, neck feels great, really lightweight, pickups sound great especially with the coil split, definitely one of the best coil splits I’ve ever heard, extremely versatile for both clean tones and high gain settings, looks stunning, all the hardware is super high quality, the tuning stability is incredible, often left for weeks at a time in rehearsal spaces without going out of tune, and the setup out of the box is practically perfect, absolute 10/10, best sub £400 guitar and severely underrated.

Preferred Settings + Usage:

I like to run the bridge pickup with no coil split on a mid tone for heavier metal, and a coil split in the middle position or the neck with a bit more tone for clean, bluesy type sounds.

Absolutely LOVE

So I only recently got this guitar, and I have found that it is another astounding piece of equipment from Yamaha. I am somebody who puts a lot of love into Yamaha, and they never disappoint. I also have a lot of experience with Yamaha as well, this guitar is more of a strumming guitar than a super-sonic shredder whammy guitar, (But add the right pedals and fx and you can easily achieve it!) It uses VH3 humbuckers, (if I’m not mistaken) and MWUAH! Absolutely incredible guitar.

Preferred Settings + Usage:

One thing about this guitar is getting a hard case for it, it has been a nightmare finding one, as someone originated in Europe, all of the custom case businesses are in Canada and places foreign. I have one being shipped soon, and I don’t even know if it’s gonna fit because the one I ordered is meant for a jaguar/jazzmaster style guitar so 🤷🏼. But anyway, great guitar!
