"My main guitar is a Fender Jazzmaster which I recently acquired, it's a 1962. If you switch it to the 'rhythm circuit' it goes very Gibson-ish, a mellow sort of jazz sound. With the main circuit in you've got the three-position switch as normal for a two pickup guitar, but it doesn't affect the rhythm circuit, which seems to be a combination of both pickups. I've used the Jazzmaster on most of the things we've done. When I was in New York they were about $150, very unfashionable guitars, but of course I didn't have a penny then. So I got this one in London for about £350."

Scott Holiday says at 1:46, “This is my number two. It is a 1962 Fender Jazzmaster, obviously refinned. Probably in 1963. It’s really road-worn too, it actually came with these knobs and as you see it. I love this guitar. She is very lovely. I play a lot of slide on it. The only thing I’ve done to this guitar, aside from beat it up more than it already is, is I put a set of Lollar P-90s in it, which are lovely. I have the originals, but they are quite thin and kind of like surf guitar sounding. I used them for a while, but right when I dropped these in, it was wonderful.”

In this Instagram post, Danny has a refinished in red sparkle early 60s Jazzmaster, he's had it since the early 80s, marking this as originally made in America since the reissues we're not available until 1986.

It is not block nor bound, therefore it is pre 1965 and has a rosewood neck, marking it earliest a 1959.

In a YouTube video by frettedamericana, Phil X is seen showcasing a Fender 1962 Jazzmaster. The description highlights the guitar's near-mint, original condition, despite its age.

Jacob Binzer uses a Fender 1962 Jazzmaster, as evident from performances of songs like "Sleeping My Day Away," "Grow or Pay," "Marlboro Man," and "Riding With Sue."

"I always write on guitar. I've got lots. I've this [the blue Jazzmaster, as featured in the nice photographs by Mr Sheehan] which dates from about 1962. I often use a Gretsch Black Hawk on stage; it's a model below the White Falcon, which it was discontinued in favour of. I foolishly had mine resprayed pink [a Pink Hawk? Surely not...]. But I think I'll get it sprayed black again. I used that on all the Postcard singles, that and a black Burns Nu-Sonic which I picked up for £40. The Gretsch cost me £115 from an old man in Glasgow, who put an ad in the Evening Times — it must be worth over £600 list price, a real bargain."

Anthony Pirog: "Yes! I am. Okay, so on tour, I play a 1962 Jazzmaster with Joe Barden pickups in it. They’re Two Tones. And then my pedals..."
