Review: Audio Review: Adobe Audition CS6 Audio Editing Software - Church Production Magazine

churchproduction.com

Adobe Audition CS6 is a robust audio editing tool that impressively caters to audio recording and post-production needs, especially for video. Its ability to interface with diverse audio hardware and its innovative features like Spectral Frequency Display for editing specific sound frequencies set it apart. The Multi-track Editor's surround sound capability is a notable highlight. However, it lacks MIDI sequencing, and the absence of local help files can be inconvenient. Despite these drawbacks, Audition CS6’s enhancements make it a valuable asset for video producers, justifying its price.

Adobe Audition CS6's new features harmonize with video, radio, and podcast production | Macworld

macworld.com

Adobe Audition CS6 bridges the gap between past and future, restoring beloved features like control surface support and clip grouping while introducing handy tools like skip selection and automatic speech alignment. Its strengths lie in video, radio, and podcast production, offering solid effects and restoration tools. However, the interface can be cumbersome, requiring frequent view-switching, and it still lacks MIDI support, leaving musicians wanting more. Overall, it's a positive update that caters well to audio pros, especially those integrating with Adobe Premiere.

This is a great piece of software

I used to use cool edit years ago and when looking for some software for the PC this seemed like a natural choice, epecially as I'm a photoshop user as well. It's great. I've not seen much that this can't do and it's certainly got everything you need to mix a good track. I'm not sure the whole creative cloud thing though is a good option for home studios though so I think it'll die off in years to come. Shame.

Audio editing.

I have used this since the days when it was called Cool Edit Pro before Adobe bought out Syntrillium. Excellent editing software, though I am hesitant to upgrade due to this Adobe Creative Cloud stuff. Really, I have to subscribe now??? =\

42 minutes into Headhunterz Producer Masterclass, we see a waveform of a Hardstyle kick loaded into a new program. 43:21 into the video, we see a glimpse of the program name and more of its interface in the upper-left hand corner, 'Audition'. Adobe programs open on Mac OSes with just the program name next to the Apple logo, so it's a reasonable connection to make that the program is Adobe Audition.
