Review: Bare Knuckle's Boot Camp Brute Force humbuckers and True Grit Strat set deliver all the requisite and classic guitar tones without compromise | Guitar World

guitarworld.com

Bare Knuckle's Boot Camp Brute Force pickups and True Grit Strat set deliver impressive tonal variety, showcasing high output and clarity that cater to rock and metal enthusiasts. The Brute Force humbuckers excel with a robust midrange and articulate sound, while the True Grit series offers versatile single-coil sparkle reminiscent of classic Strat tones. However, the premium pricing may deter budget-conscious players. Despite this, the handwound quality and performance make these pickups a solid investment for those seeking uncompromised sound. Overall, they stand out as a compelling choice for guitarists wanting to elevate their tone without sacrificing quality.

Exactly what I was expecting.

I have the chrome covered neck and open coil bridge in my mockingbird, coil tapped. Delivers what my stock pickups couldn't, and cleans up nicely with the coil tap.
