PSYCHEDELIC LIGHTMARE

Bend your mind with light.

The Psychedelic Lightmare is the latest mind-melting collaboration between Death By Audio and Levitation—the legendary festival dedicated to psychedelic music and culture. This light-responsive reverb/tremolo pedal unlocks a massive spectrum of sounds, warping your tone in ways you never thought possible.

At its core, it features a lush stereo reverb paired with a sharp chopping tremolo, but the real magic happens with the built-in light sensor. This sensor dynamically alters the clock speed of the effect, responding to shifts in light seen by the sensor eye on the face of the pedal. In other words, in a dark room, the clock will be slow, and when light shines on the pedal, the clock speeds up. The result? Wildly shapeable soundscapes—warping reverbs, shifting tremolo speeds, and bending your clean signal into a light-controlled, tape-like warble.

Designed to capture the otherworldly sonic experiences of Levitation, the Psychedelic Lightmare is a gateway to new dimensions of sound. Open your 5th eye. Step into the 6th dimension. Play diminished 7th chords on your 8-string bass 9 times a day. The universe demands it.
