Sterile.Good stereo imagining, clear mid range,false bass response and tiring to listen to.

I bought these about 4 months ago based on great reviews online.. I believed everyone jumped on the wagon with these.. First, the quality is horrid. One of my monitors begin having power troubles within the first month of owning. Second, the bass that these monitors do push out are quite hyped. Thirdly, if you do buy these, have a quality sub or purchased the 8" version or have another set to rely on for bass frequencies.

Worth more than they cost!

I bought these in 2011 when they were only $300. They sound great. Very clean and no obvious colorations. Perfect for mixing. I find that my mixes translate pretty well on these things. you have to be careful with the low end- the 5.5 inch driver isn't really big enough to accurately represent subbass. I want to try to D8's.

Not for electronic music (Without headphones or bigger monitors)

Bought to create detailed electronic dance music that uses a lot of real-life percussion. As such I thought these monitors would help. Incredibly detailed mid-range and clear highs. Seriously lacking on low end and actually quite difficult to mix on without another pair of monitors to reference your mix on.
