Eventide H3000

I've wanted one of these bad boys for a long time! What can I say? Its and Eventide! One of the coolest effects processors ever! From my understanding it will not do 2 effects at a time (say huge hall panned right and distortion panned left) like some processors do. But this guy has been around since the 80's (my favorite era for music) and has been used on countless records. It has about 700'ish presets. It has stereo in and out by XLR as wells as midi in/thru/out. I love it! I just hope my wife doesn't find out how much i paid for it! ;o)

UPDATE I've updated the EPROM chips to H3500 "everything" and have a total of 1000 presets. This thing is just unbelievable! I love it! I hear people mention that its only 16 bit but that's CD quality for crying out loud! LOVe it!

the 3000 and AMS harmonizers are cool in how limited they are... though to my ear the H3000 patches on that eventide pedal, the H9? they do the business plus if you get a max you get a billion more algorhythms. Not to mention having the ability to layer patches, pan and such in ways the H3000 can't. I mean, the 3k was really meant as a studio piece. Just print your effect to a track if you wanna use your H3k for another effect, right? but as a guitarist its limiting.

Yeah, I've read about some guitarist actually having 2 or more in they're rack because of the limitations. But for what it does it does extremely well! I'm mainly going to use it in my studio for vocals, reverbs, and delays etc. The h3000 has some really wild effects. I fell in love with it the first time i heard it back in 95 I think? Hmm.

I love using this on groups of vocals or anything that ''breaths''.When used with wisdom and fineness the unit is capable of creating effects you’ve never heard before.True stereo image presentation - highly futuristic!

Iconic piece of studio gear

Used on almost every recording in the late 80's and early 90's, this unit is still found in most of the top studios today. The D/SE had presets from Steve Vai and Bob Clearmountain and was part of the Eddie Van Halen guitar sound throughout this period. Not only for guitar, this unit sounds wonderful on every instrument, not to mention drums, synths and vocals. A myriad of presets and programmable algorithms and parameters, this unit can keep you inspired and busy for decades to come.
