Fender FA-100 Review 2018 | Fender Does it Again

fineacoustics.com

The Fender FA-100 is a quintessential starter guitar, offering undeniable value at around $140. While its sound can't compete with high-end models, it provides solid playability, crucial for beginners. Its full-size dreadnought body ensures a satisfying heft, though very young players might find it large. Straight out of the box, it boasts good action, and while a string upgrade is recommended, its playability remains relatively high for its price. Despite its budget nature, the FA-100 holds its own, making it a top contender for those seeking an affordable entry into the world of acoustic guitars.

Fender FA-100 Acoustic Guitar Review - Beginner Guitar HQ

beginnerguitarhq.com

Fender's FA-100 is a budget-friendly, entry-level acoustic guitar ideal for beginners. Its simplicity and affordability make it accessible, while the included bundle offers a good start for new players. The build features laminated woods and a decent X-bracing pattern, providing adequate sound projection. However, its sound is unremarkable, and experienced players may find its playability lacking. The finish isn't as refined as some competitors, and the origin of its production can be vague. Alternatives like the Jasmine S35 or Fender FA 115 may offer better sound and finish in the same price range. Overall, the FA-100 is a solid choice for hobbyists but not suited for growth beyond beginner levels.

Can a Cheap Guitar Like the Fender FA-100 Be Any Good? - Guitar Space

guitarspace.org

The Fender FA-100 is a budget-friendly acoustic guitar aimed at beginners. While it doesn't offer exciting features or high-end components, it serves as a decent starter instrument, especially for those who want the reassurance of a recognizable brand. Its construction is adequate, with a tidy neck joint and acceptable build quality, although the sound lacks brightness and resonance. The action may be challenging for seasoned players, as it requires a bit of effort to play. The guitar's main appeal lies in its affordability and the inclusion of essential accessories in its package. Overall, the FA-100 is a fine choice for novices or as a secondary guitar for casual use, but it doesn't stand out in terms of tone or playability.

Great guitar

I use this guitar quite a bit for most of my playing when I just wanna practice and it's a great guitar! It holds it's tuning well and is pretty easy to play because the neck isn't to big!
