In this photo, Dave Grohl is seen playing a Fender Telecaster Custom. The pickup configuration can be clearly seen, which identifies it as a Tele Custom. The black and white photo makes it hard to say what the finish is with certainty, but it appears to be black with a black pickguard.
moreIn this image, The Edge can be seen holding a Fender Classic Series Telecaster Custom electric guitar with a black pickguard and maple neck. The guitar appears to have a brown finish. Edge plays this guitar in the music video for U2's song [*Vertigo*](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=98W9QuMq-2k). A good shot of the guitar can be seen [at the 0:13 mark in this video](https://youtu.be/Z0FIN7tMEIA?t=13s) of U2 performing *Magnificent* live in London at BBC Rooftop.
moreIn this video of Arctic Monkeys performing the songs Teddy Picker and Crying Lightning at Eurockéennes de Belfort 2011, Jamie Cook can be seen playing a Fender Telecaster Custom. [0:25](http://youtu.be/cOIZU0Kjrc8?t=25s) into the video provides a good look at the guitar and some of its details. The pickup configuration (a humbucker in the neck position and a single coil in the bridge) identifies it as a Tele Custom. It also looks to have a tremolo installed. The concert lighting makes it hard to tell, but the finish appears to be "Mocha", paired with a black pickguard. Another video of Arctic Monkeys playing Lollapalooza 2011 shows Jamie Cook with this same guitar at the [27:24 mark](http://youtu.be/56Vgbk1716k?t=27m24s), during the song Crying Lightning. The lighting shows off the guitar finish more clearly.

moreLissack’s mid-2000s Fender Tele Custom. It’s totally stock—except for a plastic toy mounted under the pickguard that he uses for some weird, spacey noises mixed with ambient delays. It can be seen starting at 3:43 into this rig rundown video.
moreAnthony Gonzalez can be seen in this photo playing a black Fender Telecaster Custom. The pickup configuration and writing on the headstock identify it as a Tele Custom.
moreThis photo of Arcade Fire front-man Win Butler performing live shows him playing a black Fender Telecaster Custom guitar. The year is not known - several sources on the web say it is between a 1972 and 1980 model, although none are backed up with legitimate proof. Looks like Win Butler's Tele has duct tape on a few spots.
moreBrody Dalle can be seen holding a Fender Telecaster Custom electric guitar in this Instagram photo. Due to the wear and tear that can be seen on the guitar, it is very likely a vintage model. The photo is captioned as follows: Brody Dalle with her Telecaster Custom. "I'm less afraid to play lead now. I have more ideas for leads. They're still simple – it's not like I'm f**king Van Halen, and nor would I want to be. I like more Pixies-style lead. I love playing the guitar. It's my favourite thing to do. I'm a good rhythm player – I just dig in." Dalle to "Guitar World." Photo by Richard Sibbald #fender #telecaster
moreJustin Lockey plays a Fender Telecaster Custom electric guitar in this video of Editors performing the song *All Sparks* live @ Sziget 2013. Lockey's lead guitar riff carries the song on this performance, which he achieves using his Fender amps (which you can see pretty clearly behind him 0:41 into the video). You can get a pretty good look at the guitar at several places in the video, like 0:26. It is likely a vintage model, and my best guess on the finish is an aged Butterscotch Blonde. 2:40 shows you the pickup configuration of the Tele, which identifies it as a Tele Custom model. Throughout this song *All Sparks*, Justin keeps the pickup selector switch in the "up" position.
moreIn this photo, Tom Smith of Editors is playing at T-mobile INmusic festival on June 6, 2009. This photo shows the tone/volume knobs and the pickup selector switch have been removed.

moreI got this Fender Telecaster off of Musicians Friend in early 2000's. I switched out the Fender Wide Range humbucker and the single coil for a 59 model SH-1 in the neck, and a EMG-81 in the bridge. Sounds fucking awesome \m/(-_-)\m/
Gran guitarra, muy versátil, todo tipo de rock se puede tocar con ella.
Good punchy telecaster. Big fat neck pick up does mellow well.
I use this to get an awesome country/dead tone that really rocks out! I also love the humbucker in the neck so when I want a sustainy thick I can have it!
While I don't use this guitar a whole lot the middle position for cleans is amazing.
Classic twangy sounds through bridge and very clear, rich and defined tones through the humbucker at the neck
Great guitar. Classic rock sound inhanced by a humbucking pick up at the neck. I use it with an open G tuning Keith Richards style. A must have for any guitar player.
