Thumpa thumpa thump
I'm not a bass player so ignore everything I have to say about this.
As a guitarist and synth player, this jazz bass doesn't sound super jazzy. But I don't play jazz so that's a plus in my book.
I tell you what it does sound like. It sounds like punk. it also sounds like post punk. I also sounds like old metal and psychedelic. I tell you It sounds amazing, It plays amazing.
Play it with your fingers and it has a nice round thumpy warm woody tone. Play it with a pick and it has a nice attack with a round gnarly growley tone. Play it fast and it sounds good. Play it slow and it sounds good.
It has two pickups and they both sound good. I can't say I love both pickups mixed, but one or the other depending on my mood are just the ticket.
It has a heft to it. Like a battle axe or a war hammer. You could probably defend your home with this if necessary.
