Description

The GForce Software Minimonsta is a masterful homage to the legendary Model D synthesizer, offering an incredibly accurate emulation with a distinct twist of its own. This synth plugin is a treasure trove for both seasoned musicians and adventurous sound explorers, boasting over 6000 factory patches, some crafted by the iconic Rick Wakeman. While it faithfully replicates the original's essentials, such as the celebrated 4-pole, 24/db/octave filter, it propels forward with enhanced modulation capabilities. Imagine assigning an LFO to almost any parameter, from filter cutoff to individual oscillator volumes, with multiple waveform, sync, and delay options multiplying your sonic palette.

The Minimonsta doesn't stop at modulation; it introduces the unique Melohman octave feature, unleashing dynamic morphing between twelve patches within a "Meta-Patch." This innovation is a game-changer for live performances, offering musicians the ability to create stunning real-time soundscapes. Whether you're recreating vintage tones or crafting new auditory adventures, the Minimonsta is your gateway to endless sonic possibilities.

Key Features:

  • Over 6000 factory patches, including contributions from Rick Wakeman
  • Faithful emulation of the original Model D with a 4-pole, 24/db/octave filter
  • Advanced modulation capabilities with additional LFO and ADSR options
  • Multiple waveform, sync, and delay options for LFOs
  • Unique Melohman octave feature for dynamic patch morphing in live performances
  • Comprehensive sound design and real-time control possibilities

very good!

I wanted to buy Minimoog by Arturia, but it was a little expensive for me. That's why I was so happy that Focusrite gave me Minimonsta by Gforce for free. Minimonsta is really a very good alternative to Arturia's Minimoog.

“We were using a lot of softs as well — all the Arturia stuff, the Korg Legacy stuff, some of the GForce stuff. Stuff that we coveted as hardware, but couldn’t afford at the time. GForce have got a really lightweight version of the Minimoog [the Minimonsta] that I used to use a lot."

"I use The Oddity, M-Tron and the Minimonsta," Jones says, "and I’m just getting to grips with the impOSCar. I am very software orientated. I now have an amazing multitrack recording studio in a laptop. This has changed everything. But I believe it is the ideas that count, the people involved—not the technology. I am a digital fan, so I am excited to see this proliferation of digital technology, including soft synths and virtual instruments.
