Description
The Gibson CF-100 is a masterful nod to a storied past, bringing the vintage charm of 1950s acoustics into the present. This iconic guitar was Gibson's first foray into the world of Florentine cutaway acoustics, offering unprecedented access to higher frets. The compact body and unique design not only provide a comfortable playing experience but also ensure that this guitar stands out both visually and sonically. Crafted with a solid Sitka spruce top and a mahogany body, the CF-100 resonates with warmth and clarity, making it a favorite among collectors and musicians alike.
What sets this reissue apart is its attention to detail, with vintage-correct touches that include strap button tuners, a belly-up bridge, and a teardrop pickguard. Whether you're a seasoned player or a collector of fine instruments, the Gibson CF-100 offers an opportunity to own a piece of musical history without the hunt for an elusive original. Plus, each guitar comes with a hardshell case and a certificate of authenticity, ensuring your investment is protected and celebrated.
The CF-100 is not just a guitar; it's a legacy reimagined for today's musician. Its rich tone and historical significance make it a treasure to play and admire, promising to only grow more exquisite with age.

I used an open C# tuning on songs like Love Remains, Pieces Of Me and Under The Sun. Some of it was on this old J45 and one of Jackson’s Gibsons, this CF-100 with a cutaway.
According to his Wikipedia page he uses a 60s model of the CF-100
"He also uses a Martin D12-35 12 string and a Gibson CF-100 6 String. Both of these guitars date back to the 1960s."
