Description

Immerse yourself in the timeless allure of the Gretsch G5420T Electromatic, a semi-hollowbody electric guitar that bridges the gap between vintage elegance and modern performance. Crafted from laminated maple, its single-cutaway body projects a rich, resonant tone that is both vibrant and nuanced. The "Black Top" Filter'Tron pickups deliver that iconic Gretsch sound, offering a bright, punchy response that shines in everything from rockabilly to classic rock.

The G5420T's design is a tribute to Gretsch's storied legacy, featuring aesthetic details such as bound F-holes and pearloid Neo-Classic inlays. The maple neck with a comfortable C profile, paired with a laurel fingerboard, provides a smooth playing experience, whether you're bending strings with ease or strumming rich chords. The Bigsby B60 vibrato tailpiece adds a layer of expressive potential, allowing for subtle pitch modulation that can transform your sound.

For those who value both form and function, the G5420T is equipped with an Adjusto-matic bridge for precise intonation and vintage-style open-back tuners, ensuring reliability and tuning stability. Gretsch Electromatic 5420T Hollowbody Electric Guitar - Premier Guitar

premierguitar.com

The Gretsch G5420T is a standout for its smooth playability and vibrant tones, offering an impressive experience for both seasoned players and newcomers alike. Enhanced bracing and upgraded pickups provide a lively resonance, ideal for expressive playing. However, some may find the thick polyester finish a bit off-putting, and vintage purists might miss the classic Filter’Tron bite. Still, with its affordable price point and exceptional feel, the G5420T is a compelling choice that inspires creativity and delivers a rich, balanced sound across genres.

Authentic Gretsch vibe without bankruptcy.

Proper Gretsch sound and looks, solid build, great twang from the blacktop Filtertrons. Now with proper thumbnail inlays and yes, it DOES have to be Orange!
