Description
The Gretsch G6120SSLVO Brian Setzer Nashville is an ode to the rockabilly revival and big band swing eras. It's a meticulous recreation of Setzer's main stage guitar, "Smoke," combining vintage charm with modern performance capabilities. Embracing its roots, this guitar captures the '59 vibe with a semi-gloss "Smoke Orange" lacquer finish, a headstock shape, and pickguard reminiscent of that era.
Despite its vintage appearance, the Gretsch G6120SSLVO is a workhorse designed for the modern stage. The soft-V maple neck and compound-radius, rolled-edge ebony fingerboard enhance playability, allowing for comfortable chording and lightning-fast leads. Its oversized F-holes and single-cutaway hollow body with trestle bracing, not only add to its aesthetic appeal but also improve sonic projection.
The heart of this guitar lies in its TV Jones Ray Butts Ful-Fidelity pickups. These pickups provide a timeless tone with excellent bass response and the shimmering sparkle characteristic of Filter'Tron pickups.
