Overall, the JBL 6208 disappoints with its intrusive acoustic buzzing from transformers, which is inexcusable for a supposed reference monitor. While it offers a powerful sound and robust build, its tonal balance is overly colored, leading to listener fatigue over time. The lack of adjustability in tonal balance or input sensitivity further detracts from its appeal as a serious monitoring option. Despite its impressive and involving audio output, the buzzing undermines its utility in professional settings. Ideal more for casual listening than critical studio work, the 6208 falls short of JBL's reputed standards.
