Description
Built in collaboration with Billie Joe Armstrong, the Marshall 1959BJA Artist Signature amp puts the driving, raw tones of Green Day's breakout album, Dookie, at your command. This handwired, 100-watt tube amplifier head takes its inspiration from the original “Dookie Mod” Marshall Billie used to record the album in 1993, featuring an enhanced low-midrange bite, a customized tone stack, and cascading gain channels to deliver a dirtier sound than a stock Super Lead. Moreover, the 1959BJA boasts dedicated Gain and Master Volume controls, making it easier to access the amp's sweet tube saturation and aggressive, crunchy attitude. Apart from these mods, the 1959BJA’s foundation is all classic Marshall Super Lead, from the Plexi control panel to the straightforward tone-shaping controls. Sealed with Dookie-inspired trim and a baby-blue wrap that pays homage to Billie’s first guitar, the Marshall 1959BJA Artist Signature 100-watt amp head encapsulates both Billie’s rebellious attitude and the sound that defined an era.
