First tube amp
I always had solid state amps, and also played a couple of decent tubes amps, Laney Iron Heart and a Vox NT50, but nothing beats the Marshall tone. I know this ain't a 60's plexi or a JCM, but for starting in the tube amp world is nice. Loud enough to be heard over a drummer, a lot of headroom, I was impressed by that, but even tho, you may not get that pura clean tone cranked, for that you may need a 30 watt at least, but if you don't have a problem with a little of cranked tubes sound in your cleans your gonna be ok. Sad it doesn't have and fx loop, if you need one i suggest looking for a Origin 20H or a DSL 20H

If it is tone you want, it's tone you get!
After trying this tube amplifier I'll never go back to playing solid state amps again. Marshall says this little amp is 15 Watts. What I didn't know is that my 15 Watt amp uses steroids. I am impressed by the amps ability to push a 400 watt cabinet with four twelve inch speakers. The only thing it's missing is an effects loop. The DSL 15 watt all tube amplifier head has the capability to deliver bone crunching power.
