Martin CEO-7 Review | Acoustic Guitar

acousticguitar.com

The Martin CEO-7 offers a harmonious blend of vintage charm and modern craftsmanship, with its light and balanced design drawing inspiration from the 1930s Gibson L-00. Players will appreciate its superb playability, thanks to a short scale and wide nut, while its Adirondack spruce top ensures robust projection and rich tonal quality. Though its sunburst finish could use more color variation, the CEO-7 impresses with its clear, resonant sound suited for a variety of styles, from fingerstyle blues to jazz. At $2,299 street price, it's a compelling choice for those seeking vintage features without the hefty price tag of other small-body Martins.

Martin CEO-7 exclusive review at One Man's Guitar

onemanz.com

The Martin CEO-7 is a unique blend of Martin's craftsmanship with a nod to Gibson's vintage aesthetics, offering a distinct voice and impressive sustain. Its Adirondack spruce top and mahogany back provide a resonant and versatile sound that stands out in Martin's lineup. While some might find the bass a bit boomy, the guitar's overall balance and clarity make it a standout. The modified V neck might not be for everyone, but its comfort and playability are praised. At a competitive price point, it delivers great value, although some may wish for better tuners. Overall, a charming addition to any collection.

One of Martins best all time

Hands down one of the best Martin models of all time. It is PERFECT. Comfortable size, large sound, responsive, beautiful, lots of headroom. Unfair that the other guy gave this guitar a low rating because of HIS elbow . Give me a break. This could be your one and only guitar and you would never regret it.

R

fabulous blues guitar

New purchase (Mar '16), but so far bloom is on rose. The v neck takes a bit of getting used to, but other than that, absolutely fantastic. Back to the crossroads...

R

Neck was too much (tennis elbow). Sadly had to return it.
