Description

The Martin Dreadnought Junior (DJr-10) is a compact powerhouse that brings the rich, resonant tone of a full-sized dreadnought to a more manageable size. Perfect for younger players and traveling musicians, this guitar features a solid Sitka spruce top paired with sapele back and sides, a combination that produces a warm, balanced sound with crisp articulation. The shorter 24" scale length and 1-3/4" nut width make it an ideal choice for smaller hands, offering comfortable playability without compromising on tone quality.

The DJr-10's body is crafted with a depth that provides excellent projection and focus, while the modified low oval neck shape ensures a comfortable grip for hours of playing. The fingerboard and bridge are made from black richlite, a sustainable material known for its durability and smooth feel. Nickel open-gear tuners offer precise and reliable tuning, keeping your sound consistently on point.

Whether you're a budding musician getting your first "real" guitar or an experienced player seeking a reliable travel companion, the Martin Dreadnought Junior is crafted to meet your needs with quality materials and time-honored craftsmanship. Its natural satin finish not only protects the wood but also allows the guitar's natural beauty to shine through.

Martin D Jr. Review - Premier Guitar

premierguitar.com

The Martin Dreadnought Junior impresses by offering big, resonant sound in a compact, travel-friendly package. Its all-sapele build exudes a warm, rich tone, distinctly surpassing typical expectations for a travel guitar. The attention to detail, even from Martin's Mexico facility, is commendable, with excellent fit and finish. While the bass tones are robust and the mids focused, the midrange can occasionally sound boxy. The Fishman Sonitone electronics add value, though they can muddle the midrange at higher volumes. Overall, the D Jr. stands as a versatile, well-crafted acoustic, fit for both travel and studio use.

Martin Dreadnought Junior review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

Martin's Dreadnought Junior impressively blends a classic Martin sound with a compact, comfortable size, making it ideal for both younger players and seasoned musicians seeking a portable option. Its punchy midrange tones and excellent build quality highlight its value, despite lacking the full depth of a traditional dreadnought. The smaller dimensions and solid wood construction offer a delightful playing experience, though some may miss the richer harmonic range. Overall, the Dreadnought Junior is a standout for its price and versatility, earning it a positive nod in a crowded market.

Amazing value!!

This guitar is so lightweight and easy to transport. But more importantly, it plays really well and sounds great acoustically or plugged in. It is solid wood, not laminate. Fishman electronics, nice little case included. How can you go wrong for a solid wood Martin at this price point?
