Great guitar tones with a mix of controllable volumes
The RA100 seems to 'follow on' from an earlier amp design, but includes a power soak on each channel. This feature alone is very powerful and useful mainly in the studio where I use it. You can easily achieve a very overdriven tone (within the limits of this amp) on the top channel while the crunch and clean tones are exactly that. It is extremely well made but a heavy head to log around.

The all in one amp I've been looking for!
For me, this is the complete package. Glassy Fender-esc cleans, mid gain British crunch, Tight saturation for high gain applications, and super dynamic, buttery lead tones. The spring reverb is great and the Multi-soak is just an added plus. I've tried or own most everything in it's competitive market, Bogner Uberschall and Shiva, PRS Archon, Orange Rockerverb and Dual Dark Terror, Engls, various other Mesas and this one takes the cake. I ever since I bought it I have not had the desire to try a different amplifier, and that is something extremely rare for me.

this amp looks really appealing for its ability to do twin, plexi and hotrod sounds. I used to have to tour with a fender dual showman and a superlead to get just 2 of those sounds, lead tones required pedals, plus I had to use a powersoak on the plexi for larger venues (the showman's clean sweet spot is wide enough that I could balance my sounds just fine w/o attenuating the fender side). I just got frustrated and went back to ac30s. But I miss the plexi roar and crunch sometimes.
Marshall-like tone with a heavy Mesa taste.
With the 3 channels on this amp, there is pretty much nothing you can't do. The two dirt channels have just the right amount of gain and still preserves clarity. I'd definitely recommend this guitar to anyone who wants something not a lot of people own.

more info, please! I know this amp is like a big electradyne (mesa's only really solid amp since 1990) with even more features (including a footswitchable attenuator to add power tube distortion).... MORE INFO
