Critic Reviews

Positive Grid Spark 2 review | Guitar World

guitarworld.com

The Positive Grid Spark 2 combo amp builds on its predecessor's legacy, delivering superb sound, impressive volume, and much-requested looper functionality. Musicians will appreciate the clever AI features that generate tones, although results can be inconsistent. The added looper is fantastic, but its usage could benefit from a footswitch for seamless operation. Overall, this amp is a strong contender for the best practice amp available, though it might not revolutionize the game. With a few quirks to iron out, the Spark 2 is a worthy upgrade for dedicated players.

positive

“The tone is simply spectacular, and now at 50 watts, the amp feels more powerful and assertive than ever before”: Positive Grid Spark 2 review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

The Positive Grid Spark 2 is a thrilling upgrade, enhancing an already stellar practice amp with a looper and AI-assisted tones. Its 50 watts of power deliver vibrant sound that’s both rich and assertive, making it a joy for players. However, the AI feature can be hit or miss, and the looper feels cumbersome without a footswitch, which is recommended for optimal use. While the amp's design remains sleek and user-friendly, some features may need time to fully develop, especially the AI's consistency. Overall, the Spark 2 impressively builds on its predecessor, but it still has room for refinement.

More than good!

The good side: Tons of presets, amp and effect pedal models, really nice sound, it can actually feedback with your guitar a bit. User friendly app. Easy to save up to 8 tones in the amp and forget about the application.

Limitations? Needs more pedals :) (auto wah, detune, etc.) and actually a built in LED panel for chromatic tuner would be useful. Now you need a Spark phone app for that.

I play bass guitar and this amp has all the features I need. The built-in effects make it really nice to play wider genres of music and making cool sounds without buying pedals
