Roland Cube 80X Amp Review - Premier Guitar

premierguitar.com

The Roland Cube-80X is a surprising little powerhouse, offering impressive versatility for its size. With 80 watts and a 12" speaker, it caters to clean aficionados and those who need a range of tones, thanks to its COSM modeling technology. Its lightweight design is perfect for musicians on the go, especially those who rely on public transport. While tube lovers might scoff at its solid-state nature, the 80X's dynamic response and headroom make it a solid choice for jazz, funk, and country players seeking a reliable gigging amp. However, hard rock and metal players might find its live performance lacking. If you’re seeking a portable, powerful amp with diverse tonal options, the Cube-80X will not disappoint.

Guitar Amp

I've had this since 2013, like the strat, it's been something that I've always used. I really like the tones that I can get out of it as well as the spring reverb. Sick suboctave, chorus and phasers to play with that I can run channel switchers out to my pedal board to control.

Great for the price

Perfect amp for gigs, jams, as well as playing alone. Nice spring reverb function and a nice selection of overdrives and distortions. Especially the clean sounds are good. Best you can get new for this price!

Good versatile amp

Lots of sounds. The effects are limited, but the looper is cool
