There not to bad.
Been using them for around two years now. I have not owned many other studio monitors, but these are nice if you can find them cheap. They go hard for 120watts. Sound is nice and clear, and you hear new sounds in songs that you don't normally hear with most normal speakers. High EQ can be a little too loud sometimes even when turned down. These speakers also have optical input, rare thing to find. Rate them 4/5 for the price I paid secondhand.

In an Instagram post, Martin Solveig showcases his Roland DS-8 monitors backstage, referring to them as "cool toys" during the Balaton event.
"I also checked out the new Roland DS-8 monitors. They’re the first powered monitors that I’ve used, what a difference in sound the speakers make when the power is matched with the cabinets. Sometimes, I undermatch the power or even give too much power to the speaker, but with the DS-8s, you can’t go wrong. The DS-8’s are completely digital speakers with digital connections; you are hearing exactly what you are putting in. There’s no second-guessing here."
