Description
The GS312 by Santo Angelo is a Cabinet Simulator and DI Box in a Pedal Format.
It simulates 1×12", 2×12" and 4×12" cabinets.
The simulations were based on well-known amplifiers on the market, such as Fender, Marshall and VOX.
In addition to the 3 simulations, the GS312 has an auxiliary input and a balanced output that allows the musician to connect their instrument directly to the soundboard or an active speaker.
With a headphone output and independent volume control for the instrument and auxiliary channel, it is possible to play while mixing a live playback or even rehearse at home.
INSTRUMENT IN – High impedance input (unbalanced) compatible with any audio source;
PARALLEL – High impedance parallel output (unbalanced), may be connected to other equipment for monitoring or a second instrument;
Aux St In - Auxiliary input compatible with any audio source TRS or P10 Standard stereo;
Phone - Output for headset connection, TRS standard (always use P10 stereo);
Bal. Oct - Low impedance output (balanced), with signal stabilized to be connected to the speaker;
Power - External Source 9V Negative Center (Minimum Advised 250m);
Volume - Free gain control of noise and interference for the channel INSTRUMENT IN;
Tone - Tone Control for the Instrument in channel;
Vol. AUX - noise and interference free gain control for the channel auxiliary;
Indicative LED Speaker Simulator - Indicates on the front panel if the Instrument in channel is using the cabinet;
ON/OFF SPEAKER SIMULATOR SWITCH – Allows you to turn the simulation effect on or off;
SPEAKER SWITCH – Allows you to choose between three types of simulation, 1x12, 2x12 and 4x12;
GROUND/LIFT – Switch used to separate the ground references between input and output, eliminating noise from the system;
ON/OFF LED – High-brightness LED indicating whether or not the equipment is energized. The GS312 does not have an on/off button. When connecting the P10 to the Instrument input jack (we close the circuit to power the components), as soon as the P10 is disconnected, the GS312 turns off automatically.
Specifications:
Minimum impedance for headphones: 8 Ohms
Maximum power: 1W
Dimensions: 114X85X55mm
Weight: 422g
The GS312 is suitable for several applications, and can be associated with pedals and pedal boards, and also with its analog simulator, with 3 cabinet options, 1x12, 2x12 and 4x12.
It has a standard TRS auxiliary input with independent volume control, allowing the musician to mix the instrument with a metronome or backing track.
It can also be used when the musician needs to connect his/her instrument directly to the soundboard or active speaker through a balanced XLR output, minimizing possible noise and making the sound cleaner.
*The User Manual is in Portuguese, but I did add the translation on the 3rd Page.
