Best in his class
First thing first. This is a budget guitar. Sub 200€ one, and I compare it to other's in it's class. I've looked at and tried a lot of guitars in this price range (Ibanez Gio, Epiphone, Squier, Jackson, Aria, etc...) and Solo blows them out of the water. Everything is made by Schecter on this guitar, compared to others which use a lot of non branded Chinese parts, especially the tuners and pots. The pickups feel great, they're crisp with wide range of sounds, and it's really easy to tune them up to your preferred sound. The comfort of this guitar is second to none. 25.5" scale took a bit of getting used to it coming from a 24.75" but quickly got really comfortable. Also, the really flat 14" radius feels amazing, and really comfortable. This guitars sustains like crazy, even better than Epi Les Paul Special II which was my second choice. One thing that's great for this price range, you can tighten up the tuners which is great. The angle of the head is even flatter than Epi's and holds tune amazingly even if it's 3+3 headstock. The pick-ups are the same as in the Omen and Diamond series, which is great. They're passive and have a very diverse sounds. The bridge pickup sounds real "metal" and can be also used to pull quite digital sound for some nice Industrial sound. While the neck pickup is real warm and it's like it's made for blues and soft notes, which I think makes one of the more versatile Schecter guitars. One thing is, since this is the absolute budget end, there might be some QC inconsistencies on the frets and paint on different models. So try several pieces to see which one has better finish. Also, some of them are made in Indonesia, and some in China, so factor it in. In the end, I think this is the king of. The budget sector for me. And I warmly recommend it.
