The Universal Audio Volt 1 delivers impressive quality in a compact design, making it a standout choice for beginner musicians. With its excellent preamp, robust build, and generous software bundle, it offers great value for its price. However, the single input may be a dealbreaker for those looking to expand their setup. The Universal Audio Volt 1 is a standout entry-level audio interface that combines impressive build quality with a host of features typically reserved for pricier models. Its sturdy metal construction and well-designed controls enhance usability, while the Vintage button adds a delightful analog warmth to recordings. However, potential buyers should note the lack of iOS compatibility for bundled software, which may limit some mobile users.
