Everything I needed and then some more
I needed a new soundcard to combine with my Universal Audio Ox amp (as the other ones I had (a Focusrite Scarlet and Behringer UMC 18) didn't sound anything like the headphones output.
And boy, did I find it in this unit.
I was thinking about a regular Volt 4 or this unit, as I need the stereo output of the Ox and then the ability to add a dry signal for example when recording bass. And I eventually choose this version as the VU meter on this unit gives me much more info. As for the compressor: I really didn't need it.
Now that I got it a while I really do appreciate the unit. The sound quality is superb, the unit is standard in stereo mode (both inputs panned hard left and right) but the mono mode brings me straight back to the Focusright. The level of noise is minimal and the unit looks superb. And it pairs perfectly with my Ox!!
The added software and options are amazing. And although I didn't really need the compression, I really use it every day.

My music teacher bought this and introduced it to me. I use it everytime I want to record a synth. It sounds professional, and is a great first option.
