The Universal Audio Apollo Twin MKII DUO is a compact yet powerful audio interface that excels in both functionality and integration with UA's renowned DSP-driven plug-ins. The improved A/D and D/A converters and expanded monitor management controls are significant upgrades. Its Unison mic preamps deliver exceptional clarity, making it a strong choice for recording. The device eliminates the need for additional monitor controllers, saving valuable desk space. Universal Audio Apollo Twin MkII review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

Universal Audio's Apollo Twin MKII DUO is a top-notch audio interface with stunning sound quality and real-time tracking through Unison plugins. The addition of a Quad Core option enhances the DSP power, making it a great choice for those craving more from their existing setup. However, its Thunderbolt-only connectivity and lack of an included cable might be a drawback for some users. Despite this, the MkII is a worthy upgrade, offering a seamless blending of hardware and software to elevate home studios to professional levels. Ideal for both newcomers and those seeking DSP expansion.

Universal Audio Apollo Twin MkII

soundonsound.com

The Universal Audio Apollo Twin MKII DUO impresses with its enhanced audio performance and versatile features, making it a worthy successor to its predecessor. Its integration of real-time analog recording and Unison technology offers excellent sound quality and flexibility, while the built-in talkback and improved monitor control features elevate its functionality. However, the lack of a Thunderbolt cable and inability to control preamp settings on cascaded systems are minor downsides. Overall, it's a strong choice for those looking to expand their studio setup with a capable desktop interface.

Universal Audio: Apollo Twin MkII Audio Interface | Tape Op Magazine | Longform candid interviews with music producers and audio engineers covering mixing, mastering, recording and music production.

tapeop.com

The Universal Audio Apollo Twin MKII DUO impresses with significant upgrades, including improved A/D and D/A conversion and enhanced monitoring features. It retains the stellar UA Unison technology and UAD-2 plug-in platform, offering pristine sound quality and versatile functionality. The compact interface is ideal for both home and professional studios, though it lacks bus power and MIDI I/O, and has only one Thunderbolt port. Despite these minor limitations, its robust build and rich feature set make it a compelling choice for serious musicians and producers. Prepare to invest, as the UA ecosystem can quickly become an addictive, albeit rewarding, endeavor.

Sleek and powerful audio interface

This audio interface allows me to have access to all the latest analog gear in the form of a digital plugin. With the on board dual DAC processors its able to emulate its analog counterpart. its saves me money and worries on plugin tools that can cost tens of thousands dollars on hardware and maintenance if it where to break. if my apollo where to break, i know my plugins are safe with my UAD account. i totally recommend this product with the shaddow Hills Mastering Compressor Plugin. -Total Game Changer!

Amazing

The conversion and pres on this thing are very nice compared to my 18i20 i used to have. The ability to use UaD plugins are self explanatory. the talk back mic added is a very nice feature as opposed to the first gen apollo.
