Description
Perun is a classical distortion effect. It excellently makes out as a main pedal effect in a pedalboard. Tone knobs contains great spectrum and an additional clipping diode switch gives two sounds in one pedal. In “Led” position the sound is strong and loud and after turning Drive down, we get a pleasant clean boost. Switch in Silicon position releases hard overdrive sound.

Surprise in a box
I've had this pedal on my pedalboard for years now, and no matter what I do, it always stays. It feels safe to keep it there. Perun is a reliable workhorse that consistently delivers great sounds.
Build The quality of this handmade unit can vary quite a bit. Overall, it's a solid metal box with high-quality switches and no wobbly parts. However, my unit had a tone knob that operated in the opposite direction, which may take some getting used to. It's not a major issue, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
Sound The sound always feels well-pronounced, and I appreciate how the clean tone can be heard cutting through the distorted signal. In my opinion, the knobs and diode switch provide enough flexibility to use it for both clean and rhythm sounds. It's a highly versatile pedal, capable of producing a range of effects, starting with overdrive, progressing through distortion, and culminating in effects close to fuzz oscillation. I'll have a difficult time finding a suitable replacement when it eventually breaks.☠️⚡
