Yamaha MU90R

soundonsound.com

The Yamaha MU90R impresses with its versatile effects section, additional outputs, and A/D inputs, making it a valuable tool for multimedia musicians and live performers. Its robust feature set, including 779 voices and 200 performance programs, offers a rich sonic palette. However, the interface can be fiddly, and some normal voices lack excitement. Despite these minor drawbacks, its reasonable price and functionality as a songwriting tool or stage companion make it a worthwhile consideration.

Notes

XG powerful synth engine, versatile and good sounding, expecially for reproducing multitimbral GM/XG sequences. Performance Mode, compared to Multitimbral one add further possibilities to the advanced player. A/D input is a must for live and studio applications.
