I actually could provide some video sources from youtube but they are too grainy to really make out what it is since the CS-50 looks a lot like the CS-80..... The Key source of proving that he used as CS-50 on the first record is this from this forum post.... Re: Loverboy - Take Me To The Top phat intro by pognoot » Tue Apr 05, 2011 3:45 am Me thinks it was a CS-50 because that's what Doug toured with, and its also what he used for Turn Me Loose. The CS-50 is a four-voice instrument, which is why all the voices stay in perfect sync when he does the glissando thing at the beginning. He's holding a 4 note chord. I have a CS-80 and while it works, it's never quite as smooth. Also at this link is a post from another forum taken from a 1982 magazine article that I cannot find printed anywhere on the internet as to what synths Doug used in the early 80's. http://forums.musicplayer.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/1188743/Re_loverboy_keyboards Quote: Originally posted by eric: I'm looking at the Nov 1982 issue now. He states that the "...CS-80 is huge and the 50 sits nicely onto my piano. CS-80s are beautiful instruments, but I don't want to have huge piles of keyboards all around."
