"QRD – What’s your typical set-up from guitar to effects to amplifier?
Jamie – Gibson SG, 50 watt single channel Ampeg Super Jet reissue & some combination of various Zvex, Electro Harmonix, & Ibanez pedals."
What amps are you using these days? Two Ampeg Super Jets. I like small amps. I like the sound of the rehearsal room. If you can recreate the sound of the rehearsal room and keep it relatively contained onstage, then the house guy can crank it and control the sound, and that gives him a lot more to play with. If it’s too loud, it’s a mess onstage. We consistently get compliments on our volume.
