Description

Meet the Chugga Chugga. The name is no coincidence. The pedal is designed with that very sound in mind. It's based on the 4558 chip, where one half of it is designed as an overdrive, and it feeds the other half - which is a distortion. In both cases, LEDs were used for clipping diodes - they provide that chunky, crispy drive sound, without the harshness of standard silicone diodes. The pedal - although capable of doing an almost clean boost - is not your another generic average "transparent drive". It's got its character, and it accentuates it in a very straightforward manner. Lots of gain, lots of low end, lots of midrange boost going on. It can go super muddy, it can go ears-bleeding crispy high, it can go honky with mids.
