Nathan Cochran, bassist of MercyMe, allowed EquipBoard.com access to his gear before a 2017 Texas show. When being shown his amp setup, we noticed he is using an Avalon U5 DI Preamp, a Monster Power Pro 2500, Ampeg SVT-II (Not the pro version), a Palmer PGA-04 Speaker Simulator, and a Shure UR4S Single Channel Receiver.

Vallejo uses Avalon U5 in his studio, according to his website.

In a YouTube video compilation of Sakanaction vocalist Ichiro Yamaguchi's commentary from livestreams on the band's previous concerts, the Avalon U5 can be clearly seen behind bassist Ami Kusakari at the 31:39 mark of the video.

In an interview with Bassmagazine titled "BASSIST FILE－GEN" published on June 19, 2020, Yoshidome Gen confirmed that he used the Avalon U5 as his DI-preamp for bass 2018. The photograph accompanying the interview shows this preamp positioned above the Hartke HA5000 model.

Moog Slim Phatty, Boss Octave pedal (either OC-2 or OC-3), TS9DX Turbo Tube Screamer, Moog Lowpass Filter, Ernie Ball Volume Pedal, Boss DD-5 Digital Delay, Avalon U5 for DI output, Eden Traveler 400-watt head (sounds much better than 800-watt versions in my opinion), 1×15 Ampeg cabinet, 4×10 Gallien-Krueger cabinet.

According to Leo Lyons' official website, he states, "I mostly use a clean sound splitting my signal between my Warwick LW1000 amp and an Avalon U5 DI box."
