The Sasquash Natural Compressor by Berserker Electronics

The Berserker Electronics Sasquash Natural Compressor is a boutique analog compressor pedal designed to deliver smooth, musical compression without sacrificing the natural feel and dynamics of the guitar. Based on a heavily modified Ross-style circuit, the Sasquash focuses on preserving pick attack, touch sensitivity, and amplifier response while adding sustain and tonal consistency. Unlike many traditional compressors, it avoids overly squashed or lifeless tones by using a carefully tuned frequency-dependent clean blend that keeps the original signal feeling cohesive and articulate. The pedal is equally effective as a subtle always-on tone enhancer or as a stronger compression effect for tighter, more controlled playing. With intuitive controls for Intensity, Presence, and Clamp, players can shape everything from open, breathing compression to tighter, more sustained responses while maintaining clarity and responsiveness.
