A germanium fuzz face, with a bias knob, and the Roger Mayer mod for Jimi Hendrix's Fuzz Face.

Built based off of germanium fuzz faces, the Phucket Phozz is special for containing the modification Jimi had in his Fuzz Faces, and also for it's transistor bias knob, allowing for a multitude of fuzz tones, from a spitty, farty bacon fry fuzz, to a hot, simmering fuzz overdrive, to the fucking smoothest, near Eric-Johnson fuzz tone, depending on if you can dial in your settings. Built in the South Bay, California by Robert Allen, the phozz doesn't hold it's fuzzy tones with heavy sustain, but it has the tone you want from your fuzz. It also reminds me of tasty Vietnamese noodles, which are almost as tasty as these fuzz tones. Robert Allen gives a massive fuck about how his stuff sounds, and it shows in his Blue Skool Records Phucket Phooz.
