Description
Unleash your sonic creativity with the Collision Devices TARS, a fuzz effects pedal that promises to push the boundaries of your guitar's sound. Inspired by the legendary MS-20 synthesizer, this pedal offers a unique blend of fuzz and filter effects that can transform your tone from gritty and aggressive to smooth and refined. The versatile MS-20-like filter allows you to sculpt your sound with precision, giving you control over the frequency range and resonance. Whether you're seeking a vintage fuzz vibe or a modern, experimental tone, the TARS has you covered.
Designed with intuitive controls, the TARS features Gain and Master knobs for dialing in the perfect amount of fuzz, while the Cutoff and Res knobs let you fine-tune the filter settings. Switch between different filter types with the S/P and 2P/4P switches, and choose when to engage the additional fuzz with the Add Fuzz On/Off switch. The pedal is equipped with a robust footswitch for seamless on/off operation, and a bright LED indicator ensures you know when the effect is active.
Built with true bypass circuitry, the TARS ensures your signal remains pristine when the effect is disengaged. Crafted with care in France, this pedal not only delivers exceptional sound but also stands out with its handmade quality.

I finally landed one of these magical devices!!!
I first experienced this beauty during the spring 2025 performance by Nika aka Zola Jesus when this MS20-style filter was effecting her vocals during her piano and voice tour in Los Angeles.
After reviewing both versions of this pedal as well as several other MS20 and similar filters, I decided to keep looking for one of these though I would have a cap of $250.
While looking at actual Korg MS20 synths, I had the thought to poke around the usual watering holes and happened upon one for $260 which was located near my hometown, outside of Philadelphia.
I put in an offer for $240 as this also included shipping and it was accepted and here we are!
If you want to harness the aggressive grit of a classic filter, this may be the piece for you!!
