Nice tone, but hefty price for a company like Dunlop

In order to get the amazing octave-fuzz sound used by the likes of Dan Auerbach, Jimi Hendrix and Slash, this pedal is one of the only options (which also includes the MXR La Machine and Morley Fuzz Wah). Very pricey, but you won't regret spending your money on this.

horseshoes and handgrenades

I have the wedge shaped hendrix licensed one of these... another effect someone gave me that I wound up really liking. I don't think tis terribly accurate but it does a lot of stuff that I like and I'm not ing around covering purple haze all day, now am I? the octave is exceptionally staccato and clangy in a way no other octafuzz can replicate.

Neat

Cool effect. There are some EarthQuaker Devices boxes that do what this does in a way better way, with more options... But the vintage vibe from this guy is undeniable. Keep the fuzz low to hear the octave more.

The Original

Outside package might not be so sexy, but it's a complete recreation of Hendrix's original which was used on Purple Haze. Capable of producing a flavorful variety of fuzzed octave tones. Should add that it makes the strings thrum like they've got some current through them, really feels like your fingers are glued on! Worth tracking down.

Octave up goodness

It's part of my old school Hendrix setup. It runs on a 9 volt battery and can be temperamental.

Are you experienced?

Dunlop did a awesome job remaking this pedal. I would use it at the settings Jimi used but soon started experimenting. My settings might be whacked out to some so if you do have one "think outside" the box and have fun.

Octave masterpiece

A strangely beautiful analog monster! Great for replicating the squeaks and squocks of the infamous Band of Gypsys tone!
